Gale won a modeling competition in Perth at 18, After many years of modeling Gale rose to fame as she was selected in 1999 to appear in a series of commercials for an Italian telecom company called Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy) and she was featured in the commercials of the company from 1999 until. It was the Australian Tourist Commission also hired the model in 2003 to serve as"Australia's face" in 2003 "face of Australia" to be used in Italy. Gale has appeared on the cover of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in editorials for Australian Cosmopolitan as well as Vogue Italia. Gale has worked on runways for Milan Fashion Week for Mariella Marani and Angelo Marani as well as Gianfranco ferre, Genny & Gai Matiolo. Gale has been supportive of Australian designers including Colette Dinnigan as well as Kirrily Johnsonston.
